Questions fréquentes
What is CAF's maximum file size for uploaded documents?
The CAF online portal (caf.fr) generally rejects uploads larger than 5 MB. Some document categories may have lower limits. If unsure, aim for under 2 MB.
Which compression mode should I use for a CAF document?
Start with Balanced mode. If the result is still over 5 MB, try Compact. For scan-based justificatifs, Compact mode typically reduces the file by 60-80%.
Will the CAF accept a compressed PDF that looks different?
Yes. The content - your name, dates, and amounts - remains fully readable after compression. Only high-resolution image details may soften slightly.
