Why does Gmail reject large PDF attachments?
Gmail enforces a 25 MB limit per email including all attachments. PDFs with many pages, high-resolution scans, or embedded images often exceed this limit.
What if compression alone isn't enough to get under 25 MB?
Try the Compact compression mode first. For very large scanned PDFs, you may also want to split the PDF into multiple parts using our Split PDF tool.
