Will compression make text blurry or unsearchable?
No. The Optimize mode is entirely lossless for text - characters remain sharp and fully selectable. Only Balanced and Compact modes reduce image resolution.
Which mode should I choose?
Use Optimize for documents with lots of text (contracts, reports). Use Balanced for presentations. Use Compact for scanned documents where file size matters most.
Can I compress a PDF that is already compressed?
